Spiral Dynamics Integral is the most powerful and complete model available with which to describe the development of humanity, from the personal to the global scale.  It provides a theory through which we can understand and utilise the underlying dynamic forces which shape individuals and organisations.  It offers a template for human emergence which helps us recognise our position within a natural evolutionary sequence.  This provides us with conceptual and practical toolkits which assist us in a process of natural designs for living. These help individuals and groups to change the conditions that we are living in, and to develop our value systems to manage a more complex world.

Spiral Dynamics is often presented as a set of developmental phases and as a way to fit people or social groups into types. This static presentation misses the power with which the Don Beck and Clare W. Graves SD model surpasses other systems.  Rather than ignoring complexity as other models do, it explains the principles which make life complex, and allows us to focus toward elegant and simple solutions which facilitate an open-ended and continuous developmental journey. 

The full SD toolkit enables us to map the journey of a social collective and help it evolve to its next stage.  We can survey the group and find how to support individuals so that they move more easily in synch with the organisation, as well as freeing them in their own personal development.  This is how we create the harmony and strength of shared purpose described in Aligned Organisations.
